not fiction

Read
"Upstairs Wife: an intimate history of Pakistan" by Rafia Zakaria.
Vishal Rajput gave me this book a few months ago. It didn't look like the sort of book I would usually read so it sat by my bedside for quite a long time. It was tremendously captivating and very sad and scary.

"Talking Pictures: Images and Messages Rescued from the Past" by Ransom Riggs.
Collection of found photographs which have the commonality of having inscriptions of varying sorts on them.

Graphic Novel:
Beowulf by Santiago Garcia (Author), David Rubin (Artist)

fiction 4

I think it has taken years, but today I finally finished reading "The Travels and Amazing Adventures of Baron Munchausen". What has taken so long is that I've been reading it one short chapter at a time, out loud, to William. The text is full of odd archaic words so it gets one's tongue tangled and prevents multiple chapters from being read.

Graphic novels in this period:
Dust-Ship Glory by Elaine M. Will
Amerika by Kafka, illustrated by Real Godbout
The Arctic Marauder by Jacques Tardi
The Extraordinary Adventures of Adele Blanc-Sec Volume 1 and Volume 2 by  Jacques Tardi

Also finally read graphic novel "Stagger Lee" by Derek McCulloch and Shepherd Hendrix.
